To all Henley Members,

Water Polo Australia today announced the immediate cancellation of the AWL, and National Championships, as the sport’s part in helping Australia reduce the spread and impact of COVID19. Further to this announcement, Water Polo SA has also decided to suspend, effective from today, all local competitions, including finals and training sessions for the foreseeable future. It is uncertain how long this suspension will be necessary so it is not yet clear whether the season will be resumed or cancelled.

Although very disappointing for our members, these measures are precautionary, but one consistent with many schools in SA and other sporting organisations.

Therefore, following this precedent and out of an abundance of caution, Henley are also, effective immediately, suspending all Club training sessions. The health and welfare of our members and the broader community is the highest priority.

We will keep you informed as matters develop, and as soon as we can get you all back in the water.
